Setting an example – from the North Cape to South Africa: The first step of the “world aids awareness expedition” (waae) starts on the 6th of October 2008 from the North Cape in Norway. During this 7th AIDS expedition, Joachim Franz will lead a team of 18 people that will reach Cape Town in South Africa on the 1st of December 2008, World AIDS Day.
And another powerful accomplishment: In their usual manner, the team will hold a series of press conferences and events against HIV/AIDS along the 24.000 kilometre route.
Strong support: The team can rely on support from the United Nations/UNAIDS, the World Aids Campaign, the Deutsche Aids Stiftung and also politics, Royal families, the IOC, German and international Embassies, the Vatican – and God’s blessing!
A successful project needs people with profile: Father Stefan Hippler, co-author of the book “Gott, Aids, Afrika” joins Joachim Franz to be the faces behind this global fight against HIV/AIDS.
