Dear applicants.

We are very pleased that you want to become part of the "world aids awareness expedition" and set a signal in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Please read the following eligibility requirements carefully. If you have any questions please refer them to info(at)abenteuerhaus(dot)de  

1. Eligibility

All persons over the age of 18 are eligible to participate in the "world aids awareness expedition"

2. Capability and behaviour

Your capabilities must meet up to the requirements of the respective mountains or hills in the country chosen to ensure the possibility of a summit photo. Third persons must not be impeded or endangered. You are not committed to reaching the summit at all costs. Under no circumstances must persons be endangered.

3. Registration, confirmation, waiting list

Registration is done online under www.waae.de. With the registration, the general terms and conditions are accepted. The acceptance of application does not automatically mean that participation in the "world aids awareness expedition" will be granted. Options or reservations are not possible.

When an application is accepted, the applicant will receive confirmation and further information within one week.

If there is more than one application for a mountain, further applicants will be placed on a waiting list.

4. Selection, acceptance

Applicants will be selected according to their registration documents. There is no right of acceptance. Legal proceedings are excluded. When the application is accepted you are a member of the "world aids awareness expedition" and receive the necessary summit flag of the "world aids awareness expedition". The delivery of the summit flag is free of charge. The summit flag remains the property of Joachim Franz until the end of the "world aids awareness expedition" on the 31st of December 2010

5. Implementation, waiver of liability

All participation is at your own risk and responsibility. All participants renounce the right to claim compensation for any losses suffered. The mountains/hill will be done on one’s own initiative. There can be no support (financial, material, medial etc) given.

The ascent of the respective mountain/hill in the various countries must be completed by the 31st of December 2010. The summit photos will be presented in the framework of a closing event in January 2011.

6. Withdrawal

In the case of a withdrawal from the "world aids awareness expedition" the team must be informed immediately and the summit flags returned at one’s own expense.

7. Cancellation, abandonment

In case of cancellation or abandonment of the "world aids awareness expedition" there is entitlement to claim for damages, expenses or further participation in the "world aids awareness expedition". The summit flags must be returned.

8. Summit photos

The summit photos / mountain photos are the heart of the "world aids awareness expedition". They will be used for a "global eshibition" and should meet to the following requirements:

The complete summit flag of the "world aids awareness expedition" (dark figure, national flag and expedition logo) must be visible

It should be clearly visible that it is the summit/highest point in the respective country.

If, for whatever reason, it is not possible to reach the summit/highest point a photo from the highest point reached can be submitted.

There should be no logos from sponsors or other emblems of any kind visible on the summit photos of the "world aids awareness expedition"

It is important that the summit photos should have adequate resolution (minimum 300dpi)

The originator of the summit photo transfers, free of charge, the unrestricted rights of usage to the "world aids awareness expedition"/Joachim Franz. The originator is not allowed to use the summit photo or summit photos showing the summit flag of the "world aids awareness expedition" in any way or form without the consent of the "world aids awareness expedition"/Joachim Franz. The summit photos should be sent, free of charge, immediately after the ascent to the "world aids awareness expedition".

Data

The applicants for the "world aids awareness expedition" declare, that their data my be used on the web site http://www.waae.de

They further declare, that their data can be saved, processed and be used for public relations purposes. The circulation of personal data to third parties, with the exception of the associated partners of the "world aids awareness expedition" is excluded.

If required, you can receive information about the personal data saved by the "world aids awareness expedition", and can demand correction, deletion or barring.
